Sandblasting Beams & Fireplace Lintel

Here we sandblasted the ceiling beams in this character property. Previously, the dark stain made the room feel heavy and dated, but after sandblasting, the natural oak grain has been beautifully revealed. This transformation has brightened the space and restored the authentic charm of the timber, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere with a more balanced and natural look.

Industrial Roller Door Refreshed with Precision Shot Blasting

This roller shutter door had extensive layers of failing paint and corrosion, leaving it patchy and uneven. We used shot blasting to strip the surface back to clean metal, providing a solid foundation for repainting. The result is a smooth, uniform finish that restores the professional appearance of the building and protects the metal from future wear and rust.

Brickwork Restored Through Careful Sandblasting

Here we sandblasted the exterior brickwork to remove years of grime, moss, and weather staining. The wall was previously darkened and uneven in tone, detracting from the building’s overall appearance. After cleaning, the true colour and texture of the brick were brought back to life, giving the property a fresher and well-maintained look while preserving the natural patina and heritage character of the building.

Client Feedback

See what our satisfied clients say about our professional sandblasting services.

Sam & Tom carried out a brilliant job of bringing our old, untouched beams in an old farmhouse back to their former glory, taking them from a dark flat brown to a much lighter & natural oak. Very happy with the result, and was definitely worth doing this.

Graham was incredible, very prompt at replying and very knowledgeable. Phil and Justin were sent for the job, just wow. They are incredible at what they do with a great attention to detail. After cleaning on the last day, you could hardly tell they'd been there, other than the revitalised staircase. My wife and I absolutely love the results.

Excellent sand blasting service provided by Graham and the team. Aaron, who carried out the work, was extremely professional from start to finish. He made sure the site was kept clean and tidy throughout the process, and his attention to detail was spot on. Aaron was also great with us as customers – friendly, approachable, and happy to answer any questions we had. Would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for quality sand blasting.

We have quite a large, early 19th century, house. Because of damp, we removed the render ourselves, which left a mess of very stubborn primer. In just three days, Oscar and his crew, followed by Sam and Ben, managed to remove the lot leaving behind beautiful brickwork. All the guys were absolutely charming and couldn't have been more pleasant. They did a great job and I highly recommend Premier Blasting to anyone who is considering which blasting company to choose.

What can sandblasting be used for?

It’s ideal for cleaning exterior brickwork, removing old paint from timber beams, restoring metal surfaces, and preparing walls or floors before coating. The process can transform tired or stained materials back to a clean, natural finish.

Yes, when handled by trained professionals using the right media and pressure settings. We carefully adjust our approach to protect older brickwork, lime mortar, or timber, ensuring the character of period properties is preserved.

Absolutely. Sandblasting quickly removes layers of paint or graffiti from brick, metal, or stone without using harsh chemicals. It leaves a clean, even surface ready for repainting or sealing.

No, not when done correctly. We use controlled pressures and suitable abrasives to remove dirt and coatings without eroding the surface or affecting the mortar joints.

Sandblasting is the most versatile and widely used technique for general cleaning and restoration. Soda blasting is a gentler option that uses bicarbonate of soda for delicate surfaces like timber or soft brick. Shot blasting is a heavier-duty process for metal surfaces, ideal for removing rust and scaling or preparing steel for repainting.

Soda blasting is chosen for more sensitive work—such as cleaning areas around glass or softer brick where minimal abrasion is essential. It effectively lifts dirt and coatings while preserving surface detail and patina.

It restores the original colour and texture, removes years of grime or algae, and improves the appearance of the property without altering the structure. It’s particularly effective for refreshing period or listed buildings.

Yes, we regularly sandblast interior beams to remove dark stains or paint. This exposes the natural grain and brightens the room while keeping the original character of the wood.

Yes. With the right containment and dust extraction systems, sandblasting and soda blasting can be safely performed indoors, such as in barns, cottages, and industrial units.

Our team assesses the surface type, condition, and desired finish before recommending the most suitable approach—whether sand, soda, or shot blasting—to achieve the best results with complete surface protection.
